Nada Bakr is an Egyptian researcher and arts manager developing her work in media arts through research and practice. In the intersection between art and technology, she investigates ubiquitous technologies in contemporary societies to raise critical reflections on different modes of resistance discourse. In 2017 she graduated with a masters of arts (MA) in Media Arts Cultures from Aalborg University in Denmark. Currently, she is a project manager at Cairotronica - Electronic and New Media Arts Sympsium, Cairo. A project manager and researcher at the Disruption Network Lab, Berlin. In 2016, Nada attended a summer residency with Impakt Festival in the Netherland and OK Video in Indonesia. Earlier, Nada worked as a project manager of Darb 1718 Contemporary Art and Culture Centre in Cairo and as a project coordinator for the 5th Cairo Video festival edition for video art and experimental film, organized by Medrar for Contemporary art.
