I'm interested in culture and its formation, preservation and integration. Coming from a multi-cultural Japanese-Brazilian background, I would like to be able to correlate, twist, augment different histories and points of views, to create a more accurate representation of the many cultural landscapes present today. I am interested in digital medias, technology, the sciences and the arts to mould different histories. I'm happy to be a part of this programme as it offers rich and diverse histories, practices and insights.
My bachelors degree came from a business school, which at times felt challenging, but taught me important lessons in structuring, planning and managing models. Although my degree did not fulfil my creative needs, I managed to make up for it by working in creative fields, interning for an academic in the art & digital industries department department and taking up my own artistic projects.
I was working in the field of communication, mostly involving sound and music; from marketing & PR, to event production, and label assisting. I was also a research assistant, archiving and putting together web content relating to music culture.
