MediaAC 1 2015-2017
Academic career

Pedro Marum lives in transit between cities, participating on several projects as an artist, curator and DJ. He is the founding member of Rabbit Hole, a Lisbon-based collective and artistic platform of creation, experimentation, and curation, exhibiting nationally and internationally. Between 2010 and 2015 he worked as a film programmer and producer at Queer Lisboa – International Queer Film Festival, as well as the co-curator of the section Queer Focus together with Ricke Merighi, a research program for the deconstruction of the term "queer" through the exhibition of films, installations, and performances.

On 2015 he was granted a scholarship to study at Media Arts Cultures (MediaAC), a 2-years joint MA held in Austria, Denmark, Poland and Hong Kong. At the moment he curates at SPEKTRUM, in Berlin, an art space of intersection between art, science and technology and he writes for Furtherfield, a London-based art gallery and website focused on media art. He has participated as a jury, lecturer and curator in international conferences and festivals in Rotterdam, Berlin, Hamburg, Tel Aviv, Ramallah, Vienna, Rio de Janeiro and Recife.

His work analyzes the relation of digital technologies in feminist and queer theory. He runs the collective XenoEntities Network (XEN) together with Lou Drago and Rita Macedo, in Berlin.
